Contemporary & Historical Work

This region, which stretches from Puget Sound to Mount Rainier, offers fantastic natural adventures, a wide variety of cultural activities, and a vibrant urban environment.

Seattle is renowned for its own way of life, which includes relaxed coffee shops, nice waterfront relaxing, and an abundance of outdoor activities. Discover the famous downtown market and other attractions. Explore unique areas and travel beyond the city to find breathtaking natural sites.

Read the book Fish! to learn more about the Pike Place Fish Market's business success and staff morale. Watch staff tossing fish while taking orders during the day. The beautiful yet somewhat repulsive Gum Wall is nearby. Visit the market's several additional stores for dining and mementos. A well-liked destination is the original Starbucks location.

To access the Seattle Waterfront area for dining, shopping, and attractions along multiple piers, just a short stroll away. Ask questions of the divers swimming among the sea life in the enormous tank when you visit the touch pool at the Seattle Aquarium. The Great Wheel's enclosed gondolas offer cozy rides all year long. Take a harbor tour and admire the lovely skyline of the city.

Explore the strangely shaped Central Public Library and the Seattle Art Museum by strolling around the city's streets. The Seattle Symphony performs at Benaroya Hall across the street in the evening.

Take the quick overhead monorail to the Seattle Center, where you may climb to the top of the 520-foot (160-meter) Space Needle for panoramic views of Puget Sound, Mount Rainier, and the whole Seattle region. Several museums can be found at the tower's base. The Experience Music Project is housed in a Frank Gehry-designed structure and offers an eclectic collection of everything from Jimi Hendrix to Star Trek. The Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum features incredible works of art made from vibrant glass. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Visitor Center serves as a source of innovation and inspiration for international charity.

From downtown, one can easily walk to the Chinatown-International District of Seattle. Visit fantastic Asian eateries and stores. Visit Safeco Field for baseball and CenturyLink Field for professional football or soccer.

View Mount Rainier from a variety of locations across the world.
